Bringing together pediatric,

pedagogical and

humanitarian elements

Our cognitive and social capacities are mainly formed between birth and age five.

The younger the child the more vulnerable to mentally deregulating situation S/he is.

This can then translate into personality and post-traumatic stress disorders later on. It is therefore essential that very young children who have experienced traumatizing events benefit from a positive environment for social interaction and an effective method to stimulate cognitive development. Children respond differently to trauma and many of them in the humanitarian context  demonstrate various disorders, such as aggressiveness, anti-social attitude, nervousness, a lot of protectionism, and a huge lack of concentration. The positive point at those young ages, though, is that the child learns very quickly, and can therefore be helped massively over a short period of time.
